Biography
Erin Slycord is a Judge Advocate for the U.S. Coast Guard and is a military professional with over 20 years of service. Currently she serves as the Legal Advisor to the Office of Maritime Law Enforcement and Policy, supporting the Office of Maritime and International Law. Her primary duties involve negotiations with the interagency and nation states to develop and implement maritime treaties. Erin has also served in several principal roles in operations, leading teams in law enforcement, search and rescue, counterterrorism, and intelligence for both U.S. Coast Guard and Department of Defense Combatant Commands. Erin received her Juris Doctor from Antonin Scalia Law. While there she was a selectee for a national security study-abroad course held in Italy, and instructed by a Supreme Court Justice. She also holds a Master in National Defense and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma State University, and a B.S. in Kinesiology from Arizona State University.
