Biography

Dylan M. Jones is an experienced international relations and national security professional, specializing in countering weapons of mass destruction policy and implementation, with over a decade of security assistance experience encompassing nuclear, chemical and biological threat reduction projects across the globe. He currently serves as a National Security Legislative Liaison at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, the only U.S. Government Agency focused exclusively on countering and deterring weapons of mass destruction and emerging threats. Previously, Dylan served as the Senior Nonproliferation Advisor to the Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, Central Asia, and Nonproliferation. Prior experience at DTRA includes the Global Nuclear Security, Chemical Weapons Destruction, and Biological Engagement Programs, and as a Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State. Dylan is the recipient of various competitive awards, including the National Defense University’s Program for Emerging Leaders, and the Emerging Leaders in Biosecurity, Brookings Legislative, and Presidential Management Fellowships.
