Drew Cavanagh

Drew Cavanagh is a Budget Execution Officer for the Deputy Commandant for Operations at Coast Guard Headquarters where he is the resource manager for policy and capabilities. In previous assignments, he served aboard several Coast Guard Cutters in a variety of roles. Most recently, he was assigned as Commanding Officer of CGC RAYMOND EVANS in Key West, FL. He has completed patrols in the Bering Sea, waters off New England, the North Pacific Ocean, and Caribbean Sea which have enforced fisheries law, thwarted human trafficking, prevented drug smuggling, and saved lives at sea. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, a Master of Professional Studies in Homeland Security and Geospatial Intelligence from the Pennsylvania State University, and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
