Austen Adcock

Austen Adcock is the director of member services and operations for the U.S. House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party. He has served in this role since February 2023, following the inception of the Select Committee. Prior to his time on the committee, he served for two years as the staff assistant for the House majority leader, Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), who represents Louisiana’s 1st District. Before his time on the Hill, Mr. Adcock worked on the gubernatorial campaign for Virginia Governor, the Honorable Glenn Youngkin, as well as the Senate Georgia runoff races for Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue. Austen was born in Fairfax, Virginia, and attended the University of Mississippi, where he earned his B.A. in psychology and political science in 2019. He received his master’s degree in public administration from George Mason in 2025.
