Adrienne Spero is counsel on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence with a primary focus on the National Security Agency and other cyber-intelligence activities within the Intelligence Community (IC). Previously, she served as Staff Director for the Subcommittee on Intelligence & Counterterrorism on the Homeland Security Committee concentrating on matters related to terrorism and the IC. Prior to her work with Congress, Ms. Spero served as Senior Counselor to the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security where her portfolio included management and oversight functions. She began her government service as Counselor on Oversight and White House Liaison at Millennium Challenge Corporation within the Office of the Chief Executive Officer. Prior to 2017, she worked with the private sector to address issues arising from major government litigation and FOIA requests. Ms. Spero holds a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and J.D. from Ohio Northern University College of Law. She is barred in Ohio and the District of Columbia.
