Adrienne Spero is Staff Director for the Subcommittee on Intelligence & Counterterrorism, serving within the House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security as the primary advisor to the Ranking Member on issues related to terrorism and the Intelligence Community. Prior to her work with Congress, Ms. Spero served as Senior Counselor to the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security where her portfolio included management and oversight functions. She began her government service as Counselor on Oversight and White House Liaison at Millennium Challenge Corporation within the Office of the Chief Executive Officer as the agency’s liaison to the Executive Office of the President. Prior to 2017, she worked with the private sector to address issues arising from major government litigation and FOIA requests. Ms. Spero holds a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and J.D. from Ohio Northern University College of Law.
