State of Play: Combatting Today’s Illicit Financial Networks

The world of illicit finance continues to present challenges to U.S. national security and the integrity of the global financial system. The U.S. Treasury is trying to stay ahead of the terrorist and criminal networks exploiting global vulnerabilities.

FDD’s Center on Sanctions and Illicit Finance hosted a by-invitation-only event with Daniel Glaser, Treasury Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing, in conversation with Juan Zarate, CSIF Chairman and Senior Advisor and former Treasury Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes. Assistant Secretary Glaser addressed the regional and strategic issues surrounding illicit financial networks on Wednesday, May 11, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
