Correction to Previous Email

A previous email erroneously mischaracterized the views of David Albright and Leonard “Sandy” Spector regarding the issue of a credible threat of military force. The relevant language in the consensus report states as follows:

“The President should explicitly declare that he will use military force to destroy Iran’s nuclear program if Iran takes additional decisive steps toward producing a bomb. Possible triggers could include producing weapon-grade uranium or separated plutonium, expelling IAEA inspectors, construction of additional covert nuclear facilities, or undertaking significant additional weaponization activities.”
