Oil Market Impact of Sanctions Against the Central Bank of Iran

FDD Press

The report assesses the effect of sanctions against the Central Bank of Iran. It should help reduce the concerns of those who fear a slippery slope to a global economic crisis if central bank sanctions hit Tehran's oil sales. It should allow all to see the promise of these measures provided Washington can cleverly deploy them. Such an approach probably is our last best hope of peacefully thwarting Iran's nuclear ambitions. If these measures fail, no one can reasonably argue that countries threatened by Iran did not exhaust all peaceful alternatives.
